Display this stamp if you want to stand up for equality!

Regardless of what the bible says or what others say i believe in God's unbiased love first and foremost. My God loves everyone regardless of who you are or who you love.

I think it's sad that that message of God's love often comes in behind other judgmental interpretations of what God says. Especially since God also says; 'Do not judge, or you too will be judged.' I think is is extremely biased and wrong for we as humans to decide what is God's final word and what's not. Would you stone a disobedient child ( Deuteronomy 21:18-21), or someone who takes the lord's name in vain? ( Leviticus 24:16) Not unless you wanted to go to jail. So why would you condemn another human for something they have no control over. Would you deny a human the dignity and acceptance that we all deserve?.

Now i'm not disregarding the relevance of the bible as a cultural and spiritual element in a Christian's life. It is as important as any other spiritual text, as any other belief. Most, if not all, of my beliefs stem from biblical writings (with a good helping of life experience ha ha), personally i tend to take the new testament a lot more literally than the old testament. I mean Jesus did come to break down the old testament's barriers after all. And really the message of God's love also comes from the bible so we can't disregard it all as touch and go. But i think our personal relationship with God is more important than a script handed down from human to human, which is what i believe Jesus did. He broke down the barriers between God and us as his children. Really in the end the only thing you can be certain of is where you stand within yourself in relation to such things. And i believe that love is the most important thing.

My beliefs aside the bottom line in relation to this stamp is think of all your close friends or family members, people you love. Chances are one or more of them are gay. Which one would you discriminate against or have discriminated against?

(Obviously the whole issue is a lot more complicated but it's the best i can manage after a 12 hour day (and it's only 5:40PM) ha ha
